Expo Coordinator
Overview.
The expediter is responsible for organizing food service from the kitchen. This means putting together meals, adding garnish, and coordinating servers to run meals to tables. Basic knife skills are required. The expo coordinator would also be responsible for running food, and would need to have good guest services skills.
Significance.
The expo coordinator is the main person in responsible for ensuring meals are correct, visually appealing, and sent out to tables together in a timely fashion. This is a major factor in the guests dining experience, and can have a large impact on the enjoyment of the guests.
Responsibilities.
The responsibilities of the expo coordinator includes monitoring the open chits, ensuring food is being sent out promptly. As mentioned above, they would also be responsible for garnishing dishes and putting orders together, in addition to sending servers to tables with orders, and running food themselves. This individual would also be responsible for some light prep activities.
