POSITION OVERVIEW

Reporting to the General Manager within the establishment, this position provides operational leadership to a team of foodservice associates within one or more locations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Directly hires, trains, coaches and supervises the Stockyards team members.
  • Establishes and maintains effective communication and working relationships with fellow Management Team and establishment team members.
  • Develop and maintain team members' job routines and schedules.
  • Conducts weekly physical inventory of all products.
  • Assists with managing the establishment's financials and is able to explain variances in sales, costs and operational activities and develop action plans to address challenges.
  • Responsible for implementing and overseeing all relevant Ignite programs (i.e. Marketing, Establishment promotions, concepts etc.)
  • Oversee in managing inventory and labour costs in addition to running the floor duration operational business hours.
  • Manage all aspects of cash handling, policies and procedures.
  • Orders all product and paper goods through approved suppliers and in accordance with established par levels.
  • Ensure Guest Service Standards are maintained.
  • Implements and leads compliance on all Stockyards Beverage Co. operating standards and legislated standards within the establishment including company policy and procedures, Health & Safety Standards, a liaison in Safe Food Handling and Human Resource Management.
  • Assists team members in service when needed during peak hours.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • At least 2 years’ experience within a fast-paced hospitality industry.
  • Good knowledge of computerized spreadsheets and word processing programs
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to interact with fellow team members and guests in a mature and professional manner.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Confident, organized and able to handle multiple tasks.
  • Positive attitude and genuine customer focus orientation.
  • Smart Serve Safe trained
  • Knowledgeable of employment standards and health and safety legislations
  • Ability to analyze financials
  • Ability to effectively manage conflict resolution
